Privacy policy
Last updated: January 2026
Coupon Kent (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to control it. If you have a question that isn't answered here, email privacy@couponkent.com.
1. What we collect
We try to keep this list short. We collect:
- Click events. When you click “Get Code” or “Get Deal,” we record the store and coupon ID, plus a timestamp, so we can show real success-rate percentages and figure out which deals our visitors find useful.
- Vote events. If you thumbs-up or thumbs-down a code, we record that vote against the coupon.
- Standard server logs. Like every web server, ours logs IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps. These rotate within 30 days.
- Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics provider (Plausible, Fathom, or similar) to count page views in aggregate. We do not use Google Analytics or any service that fingerprints individuals.
We do not ask you to create an account or hand over an email to use the site.
2. Cookies
We set a session cookie only inside the admin area (which is for site staff, not visitors). The public site sets no first-party tracking cookies. Some affiliate networks (CJ, Impact, Awin, Rakuten) drop their own cookies only when you click an affiliate link — those cookies are set under the brand's own domain and follow that network's privacy policy, not ours.
3. How we use the data
- To compute and display real success-rate percentages on coupon cards.
- To rank stores and coupons on the homepage (most-clicked rise to the top).
- To detect abuse — bot traffic, fraudulent voting, scraping.
- To improve the editorial pipeline (e.g., flag coupons with a sudden drop in success rate for re-testing).
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We don't hand it to ad networks. The only third parties that may receive any data are: our hosting provider (to actually serve the site), our analytics provider if we've enabled one, and the affiliate networks whose links you choose to click — and that last category only sees the click itself, from your browser, not from us.
5. Your rights (GDPR + CCPA)
If you're in the EU, UK, EEA, Switzerland, or California, you have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because the site doesn't require accounts, in practice we usually hold very little tied to any one person — but the right exists. Email privacy@couponkent.com with your request.
6. Children
The site is intended for users aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
7. Changes
We'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page whenever the policy changes. If a change is material, we'll flag it on the homepage for a week.
